Buying crypto

Find an offer, open a trade, pay the seller and receive your crypto.

Find an offer#

On the P2P board, choose Buy, the asset, your currency and, if you like, a payment method. Each offer shows the seller's price, how it compares to the market, the minimum and maximum per trade, and the seller's completed trades and rating. Every offer on the board is backed by crypto already locked in escrow.

Open a trade#

Enter the amount and confirm. The amount is reserved for you on-chain and the trade room opens with the exact sum to send, the seller's payment details and a 30-minute timer. The price is fixed when the trade opens, so market moves don't change what you pay.

Pay and confirm#

  • Send exactly the amount shown, to the account shown, with the payment method of the offer.
  • Pay from an account in your own name. Sellers may refuse third-party payments.
  • Tap I've paid only after sending. From then on the seller can't cancel the trade.
  • Upload your receipt in the trade chat and keep the payment reference.

Don't pay after the timer runs out

If the payment window expires before you confirm, the trade can be cancelled and the crypto goes back into the seller's offer. If you need more time, write to the seller in the chat before it runs out.

Receive#

When the seller releases, the crypto arrives directly in your wallet. For USDC and USDT, your token account is created automatically if you don't have one yet. After the trade you can rate the seller.

Changed your mind?#

You can cancel a trade at any time before tapping I've paid; the reserved crypto simply goes back into the offer. Once you've confirmed payment, only the seller (by releasing) or a moderator (in a dispute) can settle the trade.
