Fees & limits
What a trade costs and the limits that keep new accounts safe.
Fees#
| Cost | Who pays | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Peerlock fee | Nobody | 0% |
| Opening, confirming or cancelling a trade | Peerlock's relayer | Free for the buyer |
| Creating, withdrawing, closing, releasing | The seller's wallet | Solana network fee, usually well under $0.01 |
| Offer account deposit | The seller | A small refundable SOL deposit, returned when the offer is closed |
The program records the fee on each trade when it opens, so a fee change could never affect a trade that is already running. The program also caps any fee at 10%. Today the fee is zero.
Limits#
- Payment window
- 30 minutes from the moment a trade opens.
- New buyers
- About $150 per trade to start. The limit grows with every completed trade.
- Open trades
- A buyer can have up to 2 trades open at once.
- Price
- Offers and requests can be priced from −50% to +50% of the market price.
- Per offer
- Each seller sets the minimum and maximum for their own offers.
