Payment methods
Which payment methods are supported and how risky each is for sellers.
Peerlock never touches the money. Buyers pay sellers directly, so the protections and limits of each payment app apply. The main risk for sellers is a payment that is reversed after the crypto has been released.
| Method | What sellers share | Reversal risk |
|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer (SEPA) | IBAN and account holder name | Low: transfers are hard to recall once received. |
| Wise | Email of the account | Low to medium. |
| Revolut | Username or phone | Medium: card-funded payments can be disputed. |
| Zelle | Email or phone registered with Zelle | Low once received, but scams are common: check the sender. |
| Skrill | Email of the account | Medium. |
| Cash App | Username or phone | Medium. |
| PayPal | Email of the account | High: buyers can open disputes and chargebacks after you release. |
For sellers
Release only when the payment shows as completed in the app itself, from an account whose name matches the buyer's, and keep your limits to amounts you can afford to lose. Never release because of a screenshot or pressure in the chat.Something unclear? Ask us on X.
